Motion estimation in CEUS
Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is a novel acquisition technique that involves the use intravenous contrast agents containing microbubbles of perfluorocarbon or nitrogen gas improving the echogenicity of blood and so providing useful information about tissue perfusion. Different kind of movements can deteriorate the quality of this information introducing errors that must be compensated. In this context we are exploring different strategies to obtain a correct estimation of the motion in order to compensate it for the improvement of the perfusion analysis.
